Jupiter’s Legacy: Netflix’s New Generation Of Superheroes Are Here!

A team of superheroes is here and this time, it is on Netflix. Netflix finally released the teaser and release date for the streaming platform’s much anticipated superhero series, “Jupiter’s Legacy”. The series will be streaming on the platform from the 7th of May, 2021. The series will be 8 episodes long and has been adapted from the graphic novels of the same name by authors Mark Miller and Frank Quietly. The clash of the superheroes has something that the fans of the comic books are looking forward to. Mark Miller is the man behind superhits like the “Kingsman” and “KICKASS”. Both the authors also have had a notable career working for both DC and Marvel Comics.

The story follows the journey of some great superheroes that has served earth and the people living in it for almost a century. Now, after such a long period of time, the superheroes need their children to get ready to take on the legacy of what their parents have achieved. Things aren’t as simple as what they believe it to be. Things go array when they realise it isn’t a piece of cake to take on the responsibility of the earth and also what their parents have done over the years.

Things get difficult as they try and live their lives as young kids, while they struggle to carry forward the legacy of the earth’s first superheroes. With the dire need to prove themselves worthy enough to be the next superheroes to their parents, they go above and beyond. Along with struggles amongst themselves they have to fight down a supervillain, which is definitely not going to make things easier.

The series will star Josh Duhamel as Sheldon Sampson, who is the leader of the unit of superheroes called “The Utopian”. Leslie Bibb, Ben Daniels, Elena Kampouris, Andrew Horton, Mike Wade and Matt Lanter play significant roles in the series. The authors of the show also serve as the executive producers for the show. The show was green lighted by Netflix back in 2018 and the shoot for the same started back in 2019.
