South-Korean Television series ‘Police University’ is finally coming to Netflix India. This KBS2 original premiered on August 9,2021 and went on till October 5th. The 16 episode K-drama will stream on Netflix India from 20th of July. The show was not available on Netflix Korea either.
Police University is drected by Yoo Kwan-mo and written by Min Jung. The film stars Cha Tae-hyun, Jung Jin-young and Krystal Jung in major roles. The show revolves around a police university professor who boasts of 20 years expertise in crimes detection and a computer hacker, who joins university as a student. The series also shows the conflict and harmony between professors and students within the university and corruption that exists within the police force.
The story of ‘Police University‘ is set in the South Korean National Police University. Yoo Dong-man is a detective with 20 years of experience in criminal homicide and cyber investigation who has been sent to National Police University as a professor as a punishment for a meddled investigation conspiracy he was trapped in. Dong-man often learns hacking tools and information through the dark web through a hacker ‘Seon-ho’. While following a lead on a case of a cryptocurrency illegal gambling site his girlfriend dies. Both Seon-ho and Dong-man cross path after this incident thereby leading to bad blood between the two. Much later, eon-ho meets Oh Kang-hee whose ambition is to be a police officer. Following her footsteps, Seon-ho too enrolls into the police university where he meets Yoo Dong-man again. Together, the three of them form a team to carry out a joint investigation against the corruption happening in the school.
Police University is the right mix of thrills, action, comedy and romance. The show is rated 9.3/10 on Rakuten Viki and 8/10 on MyDramaList.
