SonyLIV had announced a new series starring Sharman Joshi and Mona Singh a few days back. The platform shared some cryptic videos giving some glimpses of what the series might be like. Now, the release date for the new series has been announced with a new video. ‘Kafas’ will be premiering on the 23rd of June.
The video teaser features Mona Singh and Sharman Joshi both having their mouths tied up in black tapes. They open it themselves and hesitate for a moment. A voice exclaims that they wouldn’t be able to do it, they have taken money to be silent.
As we can get to know about the story from this teaser, ‘Kafas’ will be a crime thriller and Sharman and Mona will play a couple who take hush money from some criminals to keep mum about some crime they witnessed. This gets known by some vigilante who is probably directly affected by the crime and now he wants to take revenge. ‘Kafas’ can be made up on this plotline and it promises a very entertaining tale. The promotional strategy is beautiful and the cast and crew are promising too.
The show is written by Karan Sharma and directed by Sahil Sangha. The cinematography is handled by Anubhav Bansal and the music is given by the composer Pranaay. Additional cast includes actors like Zarina Wahab and Mukesh Chhabra.
