The immensely talented Indian actress Kajol, who has previously collaborated with streaming service Netflix for ‘Tribhanga’ and the recently released anthology ‘Lust Stories 2’, is all geared up for her next OTT outing – Disney+ Hotstar’s legal drama series ‘The Trial’. But it looks like the DDLJ actress is just warming up as far as starring in OTT films and shows is concerned.
As per the latest update (via Variety), Kajol will star alongside another talented actress Kriti Sanon (Mimi, Bhediya, Adipurush) for a Netflix mystery thriller movie titled ‘Do Patti’. The film is being described as a thrilling suspense-filled ride which will be set in the Northern Indian hills. The film will ostensibly have a universal appeal which promises a unique blend of adventure and mystery. As of now, no director has been attached until now for the upcoming Netflix project.
For the Netflix film ‘Do Patti’, Kajol and Kriti Sanon will be collaborating with Kanika Dhillon, who has lent her writing skills for films like ‘Haseen Dillruba’, ‘Ra.One’, and Rajkumar Hirani’s next directorial film ‘Dunki’ starring Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role. In fact, both Kriti Sanon and Kanika Dhillon will also serve as the film’s producers (their debuts). Furthermore, Kanika Dhillon will also be the film’s writer.
This is not the first time Kajol will be sharing screen space with Kriti Sanon. Earlier, they had featured together in Rohit Shetty’s superhit action-comedy film ‘Dilwale’ which also starred Shah Rukh Khan and Varun Dhawan. After starring alongside Prabhas in Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’, Kriti Sanon will next be seen in Vikas Bahl’s upcoming sci-fi action thriller movie ‘Ganapath – Part 1’ co-starring Tiger Shroff and Amitabh Bachchan.
