Kajol, Prabhu Deva In Massy Action Style In ‘Maharagni’ First Glimpse

The first glimpse for Kajol and Prabhu Deva starrer ‘Maharagni’ is here and it’s one massy masala action entertainer. Helmed by Charantej Uppalapati, ‘Maharagni’ is a pan India film and will release soon in the theatres in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.

In the ‘Maharagni’ glimpse unveiled today is composed of a small features from the lead actors. Starting with Prabhu Deva who is seen as a swagger in all whites talking about how the feeling before death is more scary than death itself. The video soon moves forward to Samyuktha’s character who’s all sassy and young and is eager to teach a lesson and take revenge after having waited patiently for long.

Then while Naseeruddin’s character talks about a dying parent’s wish of taking the last breath in their child’s arms, the video shows glimpses of two little girls navigating a tough childhood. And then comes the final and epic part of the glimpse where during a puja procession enters Kajol in full power mode in an all red attire symbolising the force of the goddess Durga. She is fierce, veils hunter with authority and having the wisdom, wealth and power is afraid of no one. The last shot even shows her in goddess Durga like posture when she kills demons.

Written and directed by Charantej Uppalapati, ‘Maharagni’ stars Kajol Devgn, Samyuktha, Prabhu Deva, Naseerudin Shah, Jishu Sen Gupta, Adithya Seal, Chaya Kadam, and Pramod Pathak among others. The action-thriller film marks the reunion of Kajol and Prabhu Deva 27 years after Rajiv Menon’s ‘Minsaara Kanavu’ (1997).

With music by Harshavardhan Rameshwar, ‘Maharagni’ is edited by Naveen Nooli and cinematography handled by GK Vishnu. The screenplay is by Niranjan Iyengar and Jessica Khurana.

‘Maharagni’ is produced by Harman Baweja and Venkata Anish Dorigillu under the labels Baweja Studios and E7 Entertainments respectively. ‘Maharagni’ will soon release in theatres in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam.
