Kalki 2898 AD on OTT: People Call it Amitabh Bachchan Show!

However foolish as it may sound the trollings have taken hold of even the actors. When Arshad Warsi commented on Prabhas looking like a Joker in front of Amitabh Bachchan then Nani from the Tollywood industry retaliated.

And of course, there is a whole army of Bollywood and Tollywood fans raging war against each other on X (formerly Twitter). But you all are missing the point over here.

It is not about Bollywood or Tollywood industry but rather the gigantic presence of Amitabh Bachchan which is still powerful enough to overshadow most actors from the current generation. We need to acknowledge that Mr Bachchan is one of the greatest film stars ever born and even if Prabhas is not managing to shine in front of him, it is nothing shameful. Because it is more about the great screen presence of the 80-year-old actor than the incompetence of Prabhas, we must say that Prabhas is one of the most important stars of the current generation of Indian cinema. However, he doesn’t match Mr Bachchan’s charm.

Anyways, Kalki 2898 AD has now been released on OTT platforms. People are enjoying the film on both Netflix India and Prime Video. Not to be surprised, they are also agreeing to the fact that Kalki 2898 AD is mostly an Amitabh Bachchan show.

The action choreography was fantastically done and the VFX hit the bull’s eye in making him look like a tall beast on screen. The aged actor used his ages-old experience to add a life to the character which is simply impossible to be replicated by any other actor.
