Yesterday, on the occasion of Jayalalithaa’s 73rd birth anniversary, actress Kangana Ranaut and the makers revealed the date of Jayalalithaa‘s biopic ‘Thalaivi.’ Kangana Ranaut is all set to play the lead!
Jayalalithaa, at the age of 29, ended her career as an actor and turned to politics. She was the first Indian politician to have served six times as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. Upcoming movie ‘Thalaivi’ will be based on her entire life, from big screen to politics. Kangana, who will play the role of Jayalalithaa, has been preparing for this biopic rigourously. She has undergone a major transformation for this role.
‘Thalaivi’ will hit the theatres on 23rd April 2021. The film is being produced by Hitesh Thakkar and Thirumal Reddy, directed by AL Vijay, and written by KV Vijayendra Prasad. Other than Kangana, the other actors include Arvind Sami, Prakash Raj, Nassar, Jissu Sengupta, Poorna, Bhagyashree among others. The biopic will release in three languages – Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
