Zee5 has dropped the trailer of its upcoming original film ‘Kanjoos Makhichoos’ and its one emotional yet hilarious ride. Helmed by Vipul Mehta, ‘Kanjoos Makhichoos’ will premiere exclusively on Zee5 on 24th March, 2023.
‘Kanjoos Makhichoos’ trailer begins with Jamnaprasad Pandey, a middle class man who is one hell of a miser and believes in extracting out of things till the very last of it. His whole family is fed up of this stinginess of his but he does one great deed that makes them all happy.
Hidden from all, he has been saving up money to send his parents on a pilgrimage which he eventually does and fulfils his father’s wish. But unfortunately ends up losing both of them due to a natural calamity. The real story begins after this when the government promises him money as compensation.
In a yet another complication he receives lesser than the amount promised and then begins his journey of doing anything to get the remaining amount. For this he is ready to go to any limits given his parsimonious nature.
Written and directed by Vipul Mehta, ‘Kanjoos Makhichoos’ looks funny and emotional with a simple yet relatable story. The films stars Kunal Kemmu, Shweta Tripathi, Piyush Mishra, Alka Amin, late Raju Srivastava and Rajiv Gupta among others.
Produced by Deepak Mukut, Kushagra Sharma and Srishti Sharma and co-produced by Hunar Mukut, ‘Kanjoos Makhichoos’ is a Soham Rockstar Entertainment presentation and will start streaming only on Zee5 from 24th March, 2023.
