After a spate of release delays and amidst speculations for a direct-to-OTT release, the Kannada language comedy drama movie ‘Raghavendra Stores’ was finally released in theaters last month on 28th April. And now, in less than a month, the movie has now started streaming on OTT. Without any advance intimation whatsoever, ‘Raghavendra Stores’ has started streaming on the Amazon Prime Video OTT platform from today itself.
Helmed by Santosh Anandram, ‘Raghavendra Stores’ features Jaggesh Gowda and Shwetha Srivatsav in major roles. The underlying plot of the movie revolves around a 41-year-old cook, who works at his father’s titular hotel Raghavendra Stores. The cook’s quest for a bride has yielded no positive results. But, by a twist of fate, when he is able to finally get married to a classical singer, he must deal with the many problems and issues related to his marital life.
‘Raghavendra Stores’ received decent, if not unanimously positive / very good reviews from critics. It was billed as a one-time watch movie by a reviewer. The audience, particularly Jaggesh fans, seems to have given the film a thumbs up. On movie ticketing portal BookMyShow, ‘Raghavendra Stores’ has received an impressive appreciation score of 8.8/10. And on IMDb, it has got a user rating of 9.2/10, although the number of votes is insufficient.
