One of the most raved about Kannada films of this year, ‘Window Seat‘ is finally coming to streaming in the month of October. This romantic thriller aka a whodunnit released at the theatres on 1st July, 2022 and will finally stream on Zee5 from October 22nd, 2022.
Window Seat marks the directorial debut of actress Sheetal Shetty. Window Seat follows Raghu, a loner musician, who works at a lounge owned by Anjali. He is also in love with a girl who he spots daily from his window seat in the train. When he chances upon her murder one day from the same seat, he tries to be a Good Samaritan and to help her, but ends up in a maze of mystery and confusion. Although the synopsis hints at an inspired film (The Girl on the Train), the film is not similar to the English film at all. The psychological thriller has been critically appreciated for its twist and turns and acting performances from its leads.
Nirup Bhandari, Amrutha Iyengar, Lekha Naidu and Suraj have given their respective bests in the film. The movie casts Nirup Bhandari, Sanjana Anand, and Amrutha Iyengar in the lead roles along with Ravishankar, Madhusudhan Rao, Lekha, Suraj, and many others are seen in supporting roles. The music was composed by Arjun Janya while the cinematography is done by Vignesh Raj and is edited by Pradeep R Rao. The film is produced by Jack Manju under KSK Show Reel banner. Although the film was initially supposed to drop on Zee5 on August 11th, the streaming date got pushed for more than two months to finally be available from October 22nd. Stay tuned for more updates.
