Karagar 2: Why You Should Watch This Bangladeshi Series On Hoichoi

The second part of ‘Karagar’ is already here and it is getting huge appreciation and love from audiences. The seven episodes of the sequel are written by Neamoth Ullah Masum and directed by Syed Ahmed Shawki. The show is streaming on Hoichoi.

In spite of being a thriller, Karagar deals more with Bengali culture and nostalgia and it gives a very raw and real vibe to the show. The unbelievably realistic performance of the actors makes the story even more intriguing. Even though part 2 has got mixed reviews, some saying it to be a bit sloppier than the previous one, it is definitely worth a watch. Some viewers have complained that there is a lack of suspense somewhere in the show or the questions of part 1 are not answered properly.

‘Karagar‘ tells the story of a jail in Akash agar, Bangladesh which has a closed cell that has not been opened since 1971. One day, it turns out that there is a prisoner, David Adam, in cell no. 145. When seniors break the lock and ask the prisoner how he entered inside, the prisoner gives a shocking reply that he went to jail for killing Mir Jafar in 1771 and has been transferred to various jails. Is the man lying? Or is he really that much old? These were the questions that puzzled the audience after the end of the first part.

Karagar 2 starts the story where Karagar 1 ended and we can know that the name of the prisoner is David Adams and he is a history professor. David is a war child and he wants to take revenge from the torturers of his mother. It is a wonderful web series with no profanity, strong language or sexuality. It can be enjoyed with the family and is definitely worth a watch. The performance of the lead Chanchal Choudhury is unforgettable and you can watch the whole show just for him.
