Before the OTT revolution, who would have thought that a star as big as Kareena Kapoor would work for a Netflix original film. But now, this is the exact thing going to happen as Kareena Kapoor is all set to debut digitally on Netflix.
We all know that she is a part of the big upcoming film Laal Singh Chaddha opposite Aamir Khan. But now we can see the actress in a Sujoy Ghosh directed film.
Netflix has made the announcement but the film is yet to go on floors. The shooting has not started yet and we can see the members of the cast and crew going through the reading session of the script.
Sujoy Ghosh is a highly capable director who directed the epic thriller Kahaani starring Vidya Balan or even Badla with Taapsee Pannu and Amitabh Bachchan in the lead role.
His filmography is filled with thrillers and so is expected from this one. The story would be based on a book called The Devotion Of Suspect X. It is written by a Japanese author Keigo Higashino and was also adapted in a Chinese film released in 2017.
Alongside Kareena Kapoor, the film will also star Jaideep Ahlawat and Vijay Verma.
Even the announcement video of the film is filled with an eerie background score giving a hint of how the film is going to be. The best we can do is to wait till we have more information.
