Studio Green’s latest tweet has confirmed that Karthi’s Naa Peru Shiva 2 is ready to release theatrically in Telugu states. The film is set for a theatrical dispatch in January this year. It is a piece of great news for moviegoers and theatre owners in the South Indian states amid the ongoing Omicron terror across India. Various state governments have banned theatres as a precautionary step to curb the number of COVID cases. Tamil Nadu government has also imposed a ban on the theatres till further announcement.
Apart from Karthi, the sequel to Naa Peru Shiva consists of Catherine Tresa as the female lead. The rest of the supporting cast is yet to be revealed by the makers. Santhosh Narayanan is serving as the movie’s music composer under the Think Music India banner. On the other hand, Shreyas Sriniwaas is handling all the production duties for the upcoming Telugu action masala.
Karthi’s previous project, Sulthan, was a major box office bomb, earning 36 crores against its 35-crore budget. No doubt that the actor is looking to get back in the game. He is currently busy filming Sardar and Viruman. Additionally, he has completed his shoot for Ponniyin Selvan: I.
