Kartik Aaryan’s Latest Tweet is a Delightful Reminder of His Powerhouse Talent

Bollywood actor Kartik Aaryan took to Twitter earlier today and shared the YouTube link for the trailer of his 2018 Zee5 Hindi short film called ‘Silvat’. The post was marked with the words “#Silvat Forever grateful to #TanujaChandra ma’am for this amazing experience @ZEE5India”.

Set in late 1990s Bombay, ‘Silvat’ is a social drama about a married woman Noor (played by Meher Mistry), whose husband goes abroad for a job just a few days after the marriage. While struggling with her loneliness, Noor falls in love with her neighborhood tailor Anwar (played by Kartik Aaryan).

With a runtime of 42 minutes, the short film ‘Silvat’ was directed by the gifted filmmaker Tanuja Chandra. The director had earlier made some fine films like ‘Dushman’ (starring Sanjay Dutt and Kajol), ‘Sangharsh’ (starring Akshay Kumar and Preity Zinta), and ‘Qarib Qarib Single’ (starring Irrfan Khan).

While ‘Silvat’ is a delightful reminder of Kartik Aaryan’s powerhouse talent, his tweet has come at an interesting time in the wake of the actor being in the news for his reported ouster from big-ticket projects like ‘Dostana 2’ and ‘Freddie’. There were also rumors regarding the actor being dropped from Anand L. Rai’s directorial project. The filmmaker, however, later clarified that he had never signed any film with Kartik Aaryan.

Then, yesterday, acclaimed filmmaker Anubhav Sinha (Director – ‘Ra.One’, ‘Article 15’, ‘Thappad’) took to Twitter and posted that “And by the way… when Producers drop Actors or vice versa they don’t talk about it. It happens all the time. This campaign against Kartik Aryarn seems concerted to me and very bloody unfair. I respect his quiet.”

The audiences and film enthusiasts understand that Kartik Aaryan is a proficient performer. The actor had made an exciting acting debut with the immensely popular Luv Ranjan’s rom-com buddy film ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ in the year 2011. Luv Ranjan had again cast him in the sequel to ‘Pyaar Ka Punchnama’ and ‘Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety’.

Kartik Aaryan subsequently acted in films such as ‘Luka Chuppi’, ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’, and ‘Love Aaj Kal 2’, amongst other projects. His upcoming acting ventures include Ram Madhvani’s ‘Dhamaka’ and Aneez Bazmee’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’. We are eagerly looking forward to seeing his acting chops in many more films, that justify his serious talent.
