Kartik Aaryan is all set to return in the next installation of the successful ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa’ franchise. Tentatively titled ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, the film has also set a release date – a lucrative one at that. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 will hit theatres worldwide on Diwali 2024.
While Republic Day and Independence Day are preferred for nationalistic and patriotic films, Diwali is traditionally a highly coveted release date for films that are massy with popular plots. Comedies, thrillers and family dramas do extremely well in the auspicious and blockbuster release date of Diwali days. Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 choosing a Diwali release date spells good times for the successful franchise.
What’s more, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is the only Hindi film to have confirmed its Diwali 2024 release. Ajay Devgn’s Singham Again and Akshay Kumar’s Hera Pheri 3 have been eyeing a Diwali 2024 release, but there’s no word on whether the films will be ready for release by Diwali 2024.
Kartik Aaryan has been confirmed to return in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, though we still don’t know whether he will reprise his role of Rooh Baba or not. No other actor is confirmed to star in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, but the makers are keen to bring back Tabu for the sequel.
Anees Bazmee is back as director of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, after helming the very successful Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2. T-Series are back on board as the producers of the film. For those who don’t know, 2022 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 starred Tabu, Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani in lead roles. It was a spiritual sequel to the 2007 hit film, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, which featured Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan and Shiney Ahuja as leads.
