Kartik Aaryan’s Chandu Champion Comes To This Platform As VOD

What better day to release a film as inspiring as Chandu Champion than the day the Olympic Games start? Inspired by Murlikant Petkar, a man who won India’s first Gold Medal in the 1972 Paralympics, fans are appreciating Kartik Aaryan’s effort.

Despite fans labeling it as Kartik Aaryan’s best performance, the film received mixed reviews. In terms of the film’s technicalities, it had a solid beginning, middle, and end. The glow is somewhat similar to Forrest Gump, but in a very positive way.

The film breaks away from the norms of generic sports films by focusing on saturated and somewhat exaggerated emotions, which captures the tone of the film in a positive way. It is funny, thought-provoking, and emotional, with all the Indian sentiments packed in it.

Though the budget of the movie is not quite clear, it didn’t achieve the status of a box-office hit and barely broke even. Audiences were counting on an OTT release soon for a film like this.

And it is now streaming on Prime Video.

However, it’s not a regular streaming release; Chandu Champion is adopting the VOD model.

Regarding the price tag, if you want to watch Chandu Champion in Ultra HD, you need to pay ₹199, which is nearly as much as the theatrical experience. But India is not in love with the VOD model, as most viewers will wait a couple of weeks for it to come to regular OTT.
