Canadian actor Keanu Reeves took the entertainment world by storm with his roles in titles like ‘Speed’, the Matrix franchise, the John Wick franchise, and many more. Owing to his charm and impeccable acting prowess, the actor was soon to become a fan favorite.
One of his features, back from 2019 titled ‘Replicas’, officially has an OTT release date now. Releasing on Lionsgate Play on June 28, the sci-fi thriller stars Keanu Reeves alongside Alice Eve in leading roles. The plot revolves around a scientist working on synthetic biology who meets with an accident that kills his family members.
In the aftermath of the harrowing incident, he becomes obsessed with bringing them back to life. He violates the law of bioethics and brings back his family through cloning, ending up creating replicas, which makes him a threat to the government. His anti-natural actions, thus, are met with dire consequences.
As for the streamer, a long slate of movies is set to premiere before the Reeves-starrer thriller. These films include Zac Efron’s ‘The Iron Claw’, Shailene Woodley – Sam Claflin led ‘Adrift’, and the imaginative fantasy thriller ‘Mona Lisa and the Blood Moon’.
