Keanu Reeves To Reunite With John Wick Director For An Action Film

Both Keanu Reeves and Chad Stahelski are still riding high after the phenomenal critical and commercial success of the fourth instalment of the action packed ‘John Wick’ film series – ‘John Wick: Chapter 4’. The film has raked in more than a whopping $400 million at the box office globally.

And we have just found another reason to be even more excited. The superhit actor-director duo Keanu Reeves and Chad Stahelski are all set to reunite for yet another explosive action thriller movie titled ‘The Pursuit’.

In ‘The Pursuit’, Keanu Reeves will essay the role of an expert thief who is given a delicate mission to steal a mysterious and valuable artifact. But the goings-on suddenly take an unexpected turn when the lead character realizes that the artifact gives him some kind of superpowers. Although the exact nature of these superpowers is not known, it is expected that Keanu Reeves’ character will be blessed with supernatural abilities or superhero strength.

Reuniting Keanu Reeves and Chad Stahelski for an action film completely makes sense after considering their previous collaborations including the ‘John Wick’ film series. In fact, it was bound to happen sooner or later. The addition of superhero elements in ‘The Pursuit’ is a bonus and another enticing factor.

Not many people might know that before the arrival of the ‘John Wick’ franchise, Chad Stahelski had collaborated with Keanu Reeves in the cult sci-fi movie ‘The Matrix’ as his stunt double. Later, the stuntman turned filmmaker worked as a stunt coordinator in the Matrix sequels ‘The Matrix Reloaded’ and ‘The Matrix Revolutions’.

Keanu Reeves will next be seen in the ‘John Wick’ spinoff movie ‘Ballerina’ starring Ana de Armas in the lead role. Besides, he is expected to star in a Netflix action film co-starring Jason Statham, ‘I Am Legend’ sequel, and the action flick ‘BRZRKR’. On the other hand, Chad Stahelski’s forthcoming projects include ‘Without Remorse’ sequel ‘Rainbow Six’, action-adventure movie ‘Ghosts of Tsushima’, and the Henry Cavill starrer sci-fi actioner ‘Highlander’.
