Netflix dropped the trailer of its upcoming survival drama series, Keep Breathing, a couple of weeks ago. It has Melissa Barrera as the protagonist, Liv. Created and executively produced by Martin Gero and Brendan Gall, the series revolves around a sharp-minded attorney who gets stranded in the Canadian wilderness after surviving a severe plane crash.

What’s the plot?

Viewers will see Barrera playing the character of Liv, a razor-sharp attorney, in the show. Her character will be seen dealing with loneliness, frustration, and relationship dilemmas not to mention her problematic bond with her family. The show’s trailer ended with Liv’s mother’s voiceover: “Do you know why there are stars in the sky Liv?” “Why?” Liv asks. “So we can always find our way back home,” her mother replies.

In her recent talk with EW, Barrera said: “I love seeing strong women portrayed on screen and at the epicenter of the story, but I also love that she is so broken. She’s feeling very lost and is seeking answers because she’s at a crossroads in her life.”

Apart from Melissa Barrera, the show consists of Jeff Wilbusch, Florencia Lozano, Juan Pablo Espinosa, and Austin Stowell. Willbusch will portray Danny, Liv’s on-and-off boyfriend. Plus, Lozano and Espinosa will play her mother and father respectively.
