Fans of Disney Plus Hotstar’s Malayalam crime drama ‘Kerala Crime Files’ are in for a treat. The streaming giant has just announced that the show has been renewed for Season 2. It has also revealed that ‘Kerala Crime Files Season 2’ will premiere soon on Disney Plus Hotstar.
We don’t have any confirmed release date for Kerala Crime Files yet, but we guess the show should premiere on Disney Plus Hotstar sometime in March. We also don’t have much information on the cast and crew of the new season of Kerala Crime Files.
Malayalam crime anthology series ‘Kerala Crime Files’ wowed viewers when it first premiered on Disney Plus Hotstar back in June 2023. The 6-episode series was the first ever Malayalam series commissioned by Disney Plus Hotstar.
A crime anthology series based on true cases in Kerala, Kerala Crime Files showcases the complexities and intricacies of criminal investigations and the challenges faced by the police in solving them. Season 1 followed the cops at the Ernakulam North police station, as they raced against the time to catch a murderer out on loose. Kerala Crime Files Season 2 will focus on another horrifying case of murder and mayhem.
The series is written by Ashiq Aimar and directed by Ahammed Khabeer. Kerala Crime Files Season 1 had well-known Malayalam actors Aju Varghese and Lal in lead roles. Disney Plus Hotstar hasn’t revealed the cast of Season 2 of Kerala Crime Files yet.
