When Kesariya song teaser from ‘Brahmastra’ was unveiled earlier before Alia – Ranbir’s wedding, it got on to the trend list pretty quick and stayed there for long. Now that the full video song is out, it’s once again trending on social media and how.
Set in the temples, ghats and lanes of Benaras for most of its part, ‘Kesariya’ from ‘Brahmastra’ is a love song from the hero for his heroine where he expresses how he cannot get over her beauty and is so much in love with her.
Touted as the most awaited and the biggest love anthem of the year featuring ‘Brahmastra’ lead cast Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor, ‘Kesariya’ is sung by Arijit Singh with music from Pritam and lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya.
There’s one thing though that we could not help but notice when the song starts as it reminds us of one of Shah Rukh Khan’s song also sung by Arijit Singh and music by Pritam. We are talking about ‘Hawayein’ from ‘Jab Harry Met Sejal’. The beginning of both these songs has an uncanny resemblance that can barely go unnoticed.
Pritam has had a reputation for taking musical inspirations from around the world but this time he seems to have been motivated by his own song from a few years ago.
