Marvel is undoubtedly one of the biggest content producers in the current scenario. Their films are always in the hype and their TV shows are one of the most viewed series in the world.
Despite all these appraisals, one thing that constantly bothers fans all throughout is the hyper-connectivity of so many films and series. There are 100s of memes on the web that say that one will have to soon watch over 50 films/series to know why Black Panther kicked Namor.
Everything was almost perfect until the end of the 3rd phase but the 4th phase was all about producing too many films and series. But thankfully those days seem to be over.
With the upcoming releases of Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, Marvel will soon kick off the 5th phase of its timeline. Thankfully, Kevin Feige listened to the public feedback and promised to execute the same.
With Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania hitting the theaters in just a couple of days, Feige presented himself in front of the media to share his plans for the 5th phase.
In the same interview, he stated, “It is harder to hit the zeitgeist when there’s so much product out there — and so much “content,” as they say, which is a word that I hate. But we want Marvel Studios and the MCU projects to really stand out and stand above. So, people will see that as we get further into Phase 5 and 6. The pace at which we’re putting out the Disney+ shows will change so they can each get a chance to shine.”
When asked if “chance to shine” means spacing them out or putting out fewer shows a year then Feige said “Both”.
It will be easier and not so overwhelming if these shows hit at a tolerable pace. Let’s see how it goes.
