Kevin Feige Responds To Original Avengers’ Return Rumours

Variety’s ‘explosive’ story about the original six Avengers returning to the MCU has shaken up the internet. Fans are desperately waiting for Marvel’s official confirmation about this scenario. Well, Kevin Feige has given his response. His response indicates that the return of the original six Avengers is uncertain.

Feige attended The Marvels’ Las Vegas premiere where he was asked about the rumour. This is what he said to Entertainment Weekly in his response:

“We did not discuss that [rumour] at the retreat is the truth. We are doing a project with Scarlet. I love Robert, he is a part of the family but in terms of returning, we’ll have to see.”

Feige’s response is not a surprise at all. We should not get shocked here. Many Hollywood insiders have declared the Variety story nothing except a ‘hit piece’ (a cheap attempt to grab the attention of the Marvel fanbase). Yes, Marvel has plans to bring comprehensive changes to their ongoing strategy regarding their future movies and TV shows. However, the return of the original six Avengers (including the fallen ones) in the MCU seems unlikely.

The biggest takeaway from Feige’s response is Scarlett Johansson’s untitled MCU project, which is in its early developmental stage. However, we do not know whether the Black Widow actress will appear in the project or not.

Black Widow (2021) was a decent box-office success. So, its sequel is on the table. The sophomore entry could explore the secret missions she completed before helping Steve Rogers and other Avengers in Infinity War (2018). Stay tuned for more updates.
