Neeraj Pandey’s Khakee: The Bengal Chapter is out now on Netflix India. There’s no denying that this latest series is one of the most highly anticipated shows of the year, particularly after the grand success of its predecessor, The Bihar Chapter (2022). The newest Khakee chapter follows police officer Arjun Maitra (Jeet) as he confronts a powerful Kolkata gangster and the corrupt system that protects him. The rest of the cast includes Prosenjit Chatterjee, Chitrangada Singh, Ritwik Bhowmik, Parambrata Chatterjee, Saswata Chatterjee, Pooja Chopra, Aakanksha Singh, and more.

While early reviews have praised Khakee: The Bengal Chapter for being a worthy successor to The Bihar Chapter, it has also received criticism for being predictable and formulaic, with its inability to offer a new and fresh storyline. Even some media platforms and critics have declared the latest offering “underwhelming” compared to its 2022 predecessor.

However, the acting performances, especially those of Jeet, Bhowmik, and Prosenjit Chatterjee, have received immense praise from viewers. Moreover, the series benefits from its smooth and fast-paced episodes, which ultimately make it an engaging watch. Yet, the show fails to fully deliver as a whole.
