Neeraj Pandey collaborates with Netflix for the first time with ‘Khakee: The Bihar Chapter‘ and the official teaser for the series is out now. It is very typical that when a Bollywood movie or show is based on Bihar or Uttar Pradesh, most probably it will be about crime. ‘Khakee’ is no exception. Neeraj Pandey is back again after some time and there is no doubt that he is India’s Most loved storyteller in the field of thrillers.
The cast includes talented actors like Ashutosh Rana, Ravi Kishan, Anup Soni, Nikita Dutta, Abhimanyu Singh. The Netflix original is said to be based on IPS officer Amit Lodha’s well known book ‘Bihar Diaries’ where he talks about fighting crime in the unlikeliest of places. The series is produced by ‘Friday Storytellers’ which is under Neeraj Pandey’s ownership.
Avinash Tiwari has impressed the audiences with loving performances in ‘Laila Majnu’ and ‘Bulbbul’, this time he will play a rough and tough police officer for a change. He looks promising in the teaser and will be a good reason to watch it.
Amit Lodha’s book ‘Bihar Diaries’ already has a good fan base and it is a great thing for the success of the series. Many people want to know about the underworld and the crimes happening in Bihar from more authentic sources, but they don’t have the time to read the whole book. They will be happy with a good Netflix adaptation under Neeraj Pandey’s masterful direction.
The release date has not been revealed till now. Most probably it will be known when the trailer releases.
