The internet is abuzz with talks of ‘Pushpa 2’ getting postponed and if that turns to be true the big Independence Day holiday slot becomes available for those who wanted it but didn’t want to clash with the much awaited Allu Arjun starrer sequel.
Although John Abraham’s ’Vedaa’ is also releasing in cinemas on the same day, it doesn’t pose as much of a threat. And maybe that’s why makers of multi-starrer film ‘Khel Khel Mein’ are now going for the August 15 release date instead of the earlier announced September 6, 2024.
This is the third time Akshay Kumar and John Abraham are going to have a face off at the box office after ‘Gold’ Vs ‘Satyameva Jayate’ in 2018; and ‘Mission Mangal’ Vs ‘Batla House’ in 2019.
‘Khel Khel Mein’ is the official remake of 2016 Italian comedy thriller film ‘Perfect Strangers’ and revolves around a group of friends who gather for a dinner and end up revealing secrets about each other.
Written and directed by Mudassar Aziz, ‘Khel Khel Mein’ stars Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Ammy Virk, Aditya Seal, Pragya Jaiswal, and Fardeen Khan. The film is produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vipul D Shah, Ashwin Varde, Rajesh Bahl, Shashikant Sinha and Ajay Rai.
A T-Series, Wakaoo Films and KKM film production, ‘Khel Khel Mein’ will release in theatres on 15th August, 2024.
