Hats Off Productions has just dropped the first teaser for its upcoming Khichdi 2; and it’s hilarious! The entire cast of Khichdi is back, doing what they do best – drive us crazy with their comical antics. Khichdi 2 is titled Khichdi 2: Mission Paanthukistan, coz the crazy beloved Parekh family is off to their own Mission Impossible in the fictional country of Paanthukistan. Khichdi 2 arrives in theatres worldwide on 17th November, 2023, just in time for the Diwali vacations.
The Khichdi 2 teaser hints at a hilarious, amusing ride with all our favourite characters – Babuji, Hansa, Prafull, Jaishree and Himanshu pitching in with their individual quirks. The family is offered 5 crores to carry out a secret mission in Paanthukistan – rescue a missing person from his kidnappers.
The primary cast of Khichdi makes a return in Khichdi 2, including Anang Desai as Babuji, Vandana Pathak as Jaishree, Supriya Pathak as Hansa, Rajeev Mehta as Praful, and JD Majethia as Himanshu. New faces in Khichdi 2 are Farah Khan, Kirti Kulhari, Pratik Gandhi, Deven Bhojani, Anant Vidhaat, Kiku Sharda, Flora Saini, among others.
Khichdi 2 is written and directed by Aatish Kapadia. It is produced by J.D. Majethia, under his banner Hatsoff Productions. The film is distribution globally by ZEE Studios.
Most people will know that Khichdi started life as a TV show, and gained instant popularity and love, back in the early noughties. After its TV run, producer J. D. Majethia revived the franchise in the form of Khichdi The Film, which did decent business at the box office. Now, we are all set to get a sequel to Khichdi in the form of Khichdi 2, and fans of the franchise have a treat in store this Diwali.
