Voot has just launched the first teaser of its upcoming coming-of-age adventure drama, ‘Khwabon Ke Parindey‘. The new series follows four young adults as they undertake a fun road trip, but along the way, gain interesting insights into love, friendship, hope, life, and their place in the larger scheme of things.
The 30-second teaser shows a bunch of spunky, headstrong youngsters, two girls and a boy, out to have a good time, as they embark on a road trip from Melbourne to Perth. Asha Negi, Mrinal Dutt and Manasi Moghe play the three friends. Asha plays Bindiya, the typical wild-child – stubborn impulsive and headstrong. Her Bindiya is a character that’s in stark contrast to the roles she’s played until now. In Khwabon Ke Parindey, she’s loud, boisterous and outspoken. Mrinal Dutt plays Dixit, a guy exactly opposite to Bindiya in nature and sensibilities – he’s pragmatic & practical. Manasi Moghe makes up the trio of friends – she plays Megha, a girl who’s sassy, sweet and simple.
Along the way, they pick up a hitch-hiker, played by Tushar Sharma. As they interact with the stranger, called Tushar, they realise a lot of things, rediscovering themselves, rediscovering life, and how your friends are your truth serum who will bring out the best in you. The trip ends up with the youngsters returning changed – a completely different version from what they were when they embarked on the trip.
On the face of it, Khwabon Ke Parindey appears to be an exciting addition to the coming-of-age, young adult drama genre. The show is directed by Tapasvi Mehta, and going by the teaser, it should be a good watch.
Khwabon Ke Parindey premieres on Voot on 14th June. Have a look at the teaser here –
