Dharma Productions’ ‘Kill’ has released today in cinemas but the film has been creating massive waves from much before its release. The intrigue for ‘Kill’ is pretty high amongst the action loving moviegoers who have been patiently waiting for the film’s release.
Touted to be one of the most violent films ever made in Indian cinema, ‘Kill’ follows army commando Amrit (Lakshya) who boards a train to New Delhi to break his girlfriend Tulika’s (Tanya Maniktala) arranged marriage when he finds out that she has been engaged against her will. But when a gang of knife-wielding thieves led by the ruthless Fani (Raghav Juyal) begin to terrorize innocent passengers on the train, Amrit takes them on himself in a death-defying kill-spree to save those around him – turning what should have been a typical commute into an adrenaline-fueled thrill ride.
‘Kill’ had its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last year in the Midnight Madness section and was also screened at the Tribeca Film Festival last month.
Moreover, production companies Lionsgate and 87Eleven Entertainment, who have collaborated on the popular ’John Wick’ franchise have already announced an English remake of ‘Kill’ even before its theatrical release, making it an exemplary feat for an Indian film.
Written and directed by Nikhil Nagesh Bhat, ‘Kill’ stars Lakshya, Raghav Juyal, Tanya Maniktala, Ashish Vidyarthi, Harsh Chhaya Abhishek Chauhan, Adrija Sinha, and Avanish Pandey among others. Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Guneet Monga and Achin Jain are the producers for the film.
Produced by Dharma Productions and Sikhya Entertainment, ‘Kill’ is now running in cinemas and will stream on Disney+ Hotstar after its theatrical run. Stay tuned to binged.com for further updates!
