Finally, the teaser of Kill is here. The movie was announced last year with very very tall promises. Karan Johar and Guneet Monga have set very high expectations as this movie was unveiled at the Toronto Film Festival last year and the makers immediately called it more relentless than John Wick. Well, we won’t comment on that as makers always have tall claims.
The movie is set entirely on an express train to New Delhi, it follows Indian army commandos Amrit and Viresh on a mission to rescue Amrit’s girlfriend, Tulika, who is being forced into marriage. When over 40 bandits board the train to loot and kidnap, Amrit and Viresh must protect Tulika and her family amidst the chaos. As tensions rise, the train becomes a battleground, with the commandos facing off against the ruthless bandit Fani.
The movie stars Lakshya as Amrit, Tanya Maniktala as Tuli and Raghav Juyal as Fani.
Regardless, how did the teaser come out to be?
The gore is high. The killings are immense and the blood spill will make you a little unsettled. Regardless, the disclaimer and everything were merely marketing campaigns as the teaser offers nothing out of the roof for someone who is into the hardcore action genre. Monkey Man is also on the way and has a deeper story to offer than Kill.
Kill arrives on the big screens on the 5th of July 2024. Let’s wait to see how it actually comes out to be. The promises are just like that of Netflix’s Extraction where a commando is against an army of opponents in a similar setting. But, let’s hope that the story part is also tolerable.
