Netflix has dropped the teaser for its upcoming original film ‘Officer Black Belt’ starring Kim Woo-bin (‘School 2013’, ‘The Heirs’, ‘Friend: The Great Legacy’, ‘The Con Artist’, ‘Twenty’) and he is going to impress you with his slick action moves in this one. Helmed by Jason Kim (‘Midnight Runners’, ‘The Divine Fury’, ‘Bloodhounds’), ‘Officer Black Belt’ will premiere exclusively on Netflix on 13th September, 2024.
The teaser drop today gives fans a peek into the journey of Lee Jung-do, an ordinary young man with exceptional martial arts skills, as he starts his new job as a martial arts officer. Working alongside probation officer Kim Sun-min (Kim Sung-kyun), Jung-do monitors offenders to prevent and fight crimes.
The teaser trailer starts with Lee Jung-do showing off his martial arts prowess, proven by third-degree belts in Taekwondo, Judo, and Kendo, which sums up to a ninth-degree black belt. Kim Sun-min, tasked with closely monitoring criminals under probation with ankle trackers, recognizes Jung-do’s potential and offers him the job. While Jung-do’s playful nature contrasts with his serious responsibilities as a martial arts officer, his unstoppable passion will ensure the safety of civilians around the clock.
Kim Woo-bin’s transformation into Lee Jung-do, complete with martial arts skills that take down criminals in a heartbeat, promises edge-of-your-seat action. Written and directed by Jason Kim, ‘Officer Black Belt’ is produced by Climax Studio and Seven O Six and streams on September 13, only on Netflix.
