Know All About Robert De Niro’s Series Debut ‘Zero Day’ On Netflix

Netflix has now officially announced its new limited series ‘Zero Day’ that was in talks for past couple of months. Marking the TV series debut of veteran star Robert De Niro who also serves as executive producer for the show, ‘Zero Day’ will head to Netflix very soon.

Here’s what is known so far-

Creators / Writers /Director / Executive Producers:

‘Zero Day’ comes from Creator / Executive Producer Eric Newman (The Watcher, Narcos, Narcos: Mexico) under his Grand Electric Productions deal with Netflix, and Creator / Executive Producer Noah Oppenheim (Jackie, The Thing About Pam, The Maze Runner).

Pulitzer Prize winner Michael S. Schmidt also serves as the creator and executive producer for the series alongside director Lesli Linka Glatter (Homeland, Mad Men and Love & Death) who directs all episodes of ‘Zero Day’.

Storyline:

As per the official logline, ‘Zero Day’ asks the question on everyone’s mind – how do we find truth in a world in crisis, one seemingly being torn apart by forces outside our control? And in an era rife with conspiracy theory and subterfuge, how much of those forces are products of our own doing, perhaps even of our own imagining?

Genre/ Format/ Episodes:

‘Zero Day’ is a conspiracy thriller drama that will consist of six episodes. It’s a limited series.

Apart from the above, Netflix is yet to reveal other cast members and release date of the series.

‘Zero Day’ becomes special for Netflix with the casting of Robert De Niro, an actor who needs no introduction. Recipient of numerous accolades, including two Academy Awards and a Golden Globe Award, De Niro is well known for his work in films like ‘The Godfather’ franchise, ‘Raging Bull’, ‘Taxi Driver’, ‘The Deer Hunter’, ‘Awakenings’, ‘Cape Fear’, ’Silver Linings Playbook’ and many more.

Robert De Niro’s upcoming films include ‘Wise Guys’ for director Barry Levinson, ‘About My Father’ and ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ for Martin Scorsese, which will mark their tenth collaboration.
