The ‘Game Of Thrones’ prequel ‘House Of The Dragon‘ has got a specific release date for its season 2. But the date is not announced yet.
Casey Bloys, the content CEO for HBO and HBO Max has stated that 2024 is a good guess for the release of the show, but it will not be considered for that year’s Emmy Awards. As the Emmy considerations are titles that end before the end of May, it is predictable that the show will release before May. So, the summer of 2024 has a good chance of HBO surprising fans with season 2 of the much anticipated ‘House Of The Dragon’.
House Of The Dragon is a Prequel series of ‘Game Of Thrones’ written by George R.R. Martin and it premiered in August 2022. It tells the story earlier than the Game Of Thrones and is adapted from ‘Fire And Blood’.
After the mixed reviews and criticisms of the eighth season of ‘Game Of Thrones’ it was presumed that ‘House Of The Dragon’ won’t probably be such a huge success, owing to its huge budget. But the series proved the assumption wrong by breaking records and overtaking shows like Euphoria and The Last Of Us. The show got to be the most watched series debut of all time.
We do not know for how many seasons the show will run, as the source of the stories are actually shorter in length than the Game Of Thrones stories written by George R.R Martin. It can have a closed end with proper completion to all the stories or it can end with some cliff-hanger paving the way to more spin-offs. Whatever be the case, it is exciting for the fans and they are happy that they can witness this legendary tale for this many seasons. Fans are excited with the news of the second season of House Of The Dragon and hopefully HBO will soon announce more details on it.
