Korean Drama ‘Soundtrack #1’ Gets Release Date On Disney+ Hotstar

Korean Drama, aka K-Drama, fans have been waiting patiently for Disney Plus Hotstar to announce a release date for its next Korean series, ‘Soundtrack #1‘. Their patience has now been rewarded, coz Disney Plus Hotstar has finally announced a release date for Soundtrack #1 on its platform. The romantic Korean drama arrives on Disney Plus Hotstar on April 27!

The series, which is originally in Korean, will stream on Disney Plus Hotstar in English and Hindi. Soundtrack #1 began streaming on the international platform Disney Plus in select regions since March 23. Now that Disney Plus Hotstar has announced that the show will begin streaming in India on April 27, K-Drama fans in India can breathe a sigh of relief.

Disney+ has been betting big on Asian content in recent months. Back in December 2021, the streaming behemoth had announced its acquisition of 20+ Asian titles for streaming on its platforms across the globe. ‘Soundtrack #1′ is Disney Plus’ next Korean original series after its debut Korean show, the well-received ‘Snowdrop‘.

Disney+ Hotstar has followed the exact same release pattern for Soundtrack #1 as it did for Snowdrop. Both got releases on the platform a month or so after its release in other Asian countries.

‘Soundtrack #1’ stars popular Korean stars, Park Hyung-sik and Han So-hee. Regular Kdrama watchers will recognise them from their hit shows, ‘Happiness’ and ‘My Name’ respectively, both on Netflix. Park Hyung-sik plays Han Sun-woo, a photographer, while Han So-hee plays a musician-lyricist, Lee Eun-soo. The two protagonists have been friends for more than 20 years, but fall in love with each other only when fate throws them together for two weeks.
