Kristen Stewart is soon going to make her debut directorial venture. The movie will be an adaptation of the novel ‘The Chronology of Water’ written by Lidia Yuknavitch.
In a recent interview, the actress has said that the shooting will be done in Latvia. She is stepping down from the confines of Hollywood because she feels that the industry takes away much creative freedom from the artists.
Inspired by the experiences of her own childhood, Lidia Yuknavitch weaves an extraordinary tale of survival. ‘The Chronology of Water: A Memoir’ is a story of struggle through addiction, abuse, destruction and loss. It will be a treat to see what Kristen Stewart, an actress who is known for her films of depressed gloomy environments, does with the story.
Stewart has said, “It’s a fledging film culture there [in Latvia]. Look, I’m all about the way we make movies here [in the US], but I needed a sort of radical detachment. I am not a director yet. I need to make a student film. I can’t do that here.”
The fans are excited. Release dates and other details have not been revealed yet. Lidia Yuknavitch’s novel is popular and has a separate fanbase of its own, and they are all too eager for the movie as well.
