It was just yesterday that the makers of Mimi dropped a very interesting motion poster. The motion poster of Mimi was enough to keep people hooked and interested in what to expect from Kriti Sanon and the movie. Mimi definitely has been on the news for its unique story and also it is the first female lead-centric movie for Kriti Sanon. Knowing what she is as an actor and how amazing her acting is, we are sure Mimi will be a delight for fans and viewers to watch. The makers of Mimi, have now one more important news to drop.
The trailer of the movie is supposed to drop on the 13th of July, but before that the makers have dropped the release date for the movie. The movie is now scheduled to release on the 30th of July, 2021, and will stream on Netflix as well as Jio Cinemas. The movie stars Kriti Sanon in the role of a surrogate mother. Along with her, the movie also stars Pankaj Tripathi, Sai Tamhankar, Manoj Pahwa, and Supriya Pathak.
The makers also dropped an interesting poster for Mimi, with Kriti Sanon sitting looking like she is just done with this situation now, while Pankaj Tripathi and Sai Tamhankar stand in the background of the poster. The movie is loosely based on the Marathi film “Mala Aai Vhhaychy!”. The movie sheds light on the issues of surrogacy in India. Surrogacy in India for a long, long time has been seen from a different perspective in India. Society in India hasn’t really been open towards the idea of surrogacy and especially those women who take up the duty of being surrogate mothers. We believe the movie will shed some light on the situation in India.
As for the movie, it has been directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan under his banner Maddock Films, along with Jio Studios. The movie is written by Rohan Shankar and has music from the legendary AR Rahman. The viewers have already received a soulful musical glimpse along with the motion poster release, yesterday. So, Mimi rightly can be said to have a mix of perfect concepts, perfect actors, and also perfect music.
It will be interesting to see how the story of “Mimi” unfolds. Take a look at the official poster here:
