Krumholtz, Beecham To Play Kara’s Parents In ‘Supergirl’

Emily Beecham (1899) and David Krumholtz (Oppenheimer) have been cast in DCU’s Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, led by House of the Dragon fame Milly Alcock.

According to Deadline, Beecham and Krumholtz will play the parents of Kara Zor-El in the upcoming DCU project. Although, it’s unclear whether they will portray Kara’s adoptive parents (Eliza and Jeremiah Danvers) or her biological parents (Alura In-Ze and Zor-El).

The media outlet has also confirmed that Alcock will make her DCU debut with James Gunn’s Superman, starring David Corenswet and Rachel Brosnahan.

Apart from Alock, Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow treasures talents like Eve Ridley as Ruthye Mary Knolle and Matthias Schoenaerts as villain Krem of the Yellow Hill. Among these talents, the most prominent one is none other than Jason Momoa, who is set to play the maniacal badass, Lobo.

Plot details about the movie are under wraps. However, the production has commenced in the UK. But we should expect the movie to explore Kara’s trauma and experiences, as the project is based on the comic book run of the same name by Tom King and Bilquis Evely.

Craig Gillespie (Cruella) is helming Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow, with a script penned by Ana Nogueira. It will arrive in theatres globally on June 26, 2026. Whereas Superman is set to premiere on July 11. Stay tuned for more updates.
