A forgotten, yet highly anticipated Malayalam movie is making its theatrical release in just a few days. This brilliant multi starrer is based on a true story and surprisingly, it hasn’t been marketed all that heavily. Still, we expect this movie to do well in theatres, primarily for its diverse cast and unique story. If you don’t know which Malayalam film we are talking about yet, we are talking about Pada.
Calling Pada “forgotten” might be a bit harsh, however. The teaser for this film dropped 6 months back and it dominated the conversations among the Malayalam film-watching community at that time. However, the fluctuating Covid-19 issues in Kerala made the release of this movie problematic for some time and the film couldn’t fix a definite theatrical release date. Without any official news, updates or information from the movie’s producers, many slowly forgot about Pada. Still, the movie managed to hold out against a direct-to-OTT release, however.
The trailer for this upcoming Malayalam political drama dropped on multiple social media platforms four days back and it is slowly being talked about again. While most of the Kerala crowd (film lovers mainly) are currently gushing over Beeshma Parvam, we are sure that this movie will turn heads once it drops. The filmmakers just have to hold out till Thursday, when the feature finally premiers.
