Aamir Khan’s Laal Singh Chaddha is now streaming. The movie was released on 11th August and came as a major turn-off because the film was not great per se and many people had already watched the original legendary film, Forrest Gump.
Due to these two factors, Laal Singh Chaddha absolutely tanked at the box office and there was no reason to soothe it down. But, many people were excited about the OTT release of the film.
In fact, it was undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films on Indian OTT. But, the box office rival of Laal Singh Chaddha started streaming on Zee5 yesterday. We are talking about Akshay Kumar’s Raksha Bandhan.
Looks like Raksha Bandhan will remain the competitor of Laal Singh Chaddha even on OTT as, just today, Laal Singh Chaddha has started streaming.
The film starring Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Naga Chaitanya, and more can be now watched on Netflix India.
Initially, it was planned that Laal Singh Chaddha won’t drop on OTT until 6 months after theatrical release but the deal might have been revised after the film tanked at the box office.
It is surprising that there was no promotion, no announcement and the film has started streaming almost out of the blue. It is a great surprise by Netflix India but at the same time, may impact the overall performance of the film too.
