Ever since the perfectionist Indian actor Aamir Khan had announced his next film ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ and unveiled its trailer during IPL finals, movie buffs have been waiting with bated for the film’s theatrical release on 11th August. Aamir Khan is all geared up to market the film in a big way. Recently, a special preview for ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ organized at Hyderabad was attended by S.S. Rajamouli, Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna, Naga Chaitanya, amongst others.
The Hindi movie’s Telugu language version will be presented by megastar Chiranjeevi, who has called ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ an emotional roller coaster and a gem of a film. Now, that was about the film’s Indian release. Moving over to Laal Singh Chaddha’s theatrical release abroad, it was previously announced that the film’s international distribution would be done by Paramount Pictures.
Moreover, in another important update for Laal Singh Chaddha’s foreign theatrical release, Aamir Khan Productions, Viacom18 Studios and Paramount Pictures will reportedly (via Mid-Day) showcase the film in different countries in the corresponding languages. Recently, a trailer of ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ was released in France with French subtitles. And not just France, the makers are targeting other European countries including Italy, Germany, and Switzerland, etc., for the film’s wider theatrical release with native language subtitles.
It is a well-known fact that ‘Laal Singh Chaddha’ is an official remake of Robert Zemeckis’ Oscar Award-winning movie ‘Forrest Gump’, and that Aamir Khan is essaying the role which Tom Hanks had originally essayed. The parent film narrated the story of a kind-hearted man with subpar IQ and how he inadvertently becomes a part of multiple historical events and how he progresses in life through a simple-minded and uncomplicated approach. The Indian version has been directed by Advait Chandan and written by Atul Kulkarni. Besides Aamir Khan, the movie also features Kareena Kapoor, Naga Chaitanya, Manav Vij, and Mona Singh in pivotal roles.
