Telugu super star Mahesh Babu took to Twitter to unveil the title of ‘Don’ star Sivakarthikeyan’s next film ‘Maaveeran’. Titled as ‘Maaveeran’ in Tamil and ‘Mahaveerudu’ in Telugu, the film is helmed by ‘Mandela’ fame Madonne Ashwin.
The title announcement video of ‘Maaveeran’ also serves as the film’s teaser and Sivakarthikeyan’s first look. The video begins with Sivakarthikeyan being beaten up badly by a bunch of goons in an alley of under construction buildings, but just as they are done and start leaving, Sivakarthikeyan’s hands and legs get tied with strings and he is then lifted up like a puppet.
Puppeteered by a large shadow hand he then calls the goon to come fight with him. Soon after he breaks the strings and a larger gang of goons attack him and he single-handedly tackles them all. Towards the end of the video comic like visuals appear.
As far as Sivakarthikeyan’s look from the film is concerned, he appears in a rugged street look with some intense action going on. Shooting for ‘Maaveeran’ will begin soon.
‘Maaveeran’ is written and directed by Madonne Ashwin and produced by Arun Viswa. Vidhu Ayyanna handles the cinematography for the film which is edited by Philomin Raj. Shanthi Talkies is the production company backing ‘Maaveeran’.
