‘Commando’ actor Vidyut Jammwal has always stunned the audiences with his superb action sequences in films and now it’s time for to turn producer. Jammwal will star in the espionage thriller ‘IB 71’ and produce it via his Action Hero Films production company.
‘IB 71’ is the first film to be made under the banner of Action Hero Films that was founded by Vidyut Jammwal this year in April celebrating his completion of a decade in the industry. Abbas Sayyed is the co-producer of the production house.
Vidyut Jammwal will play the role of an intelligence officer in ‘IB 71’ that is set in the times before the 1971 Indo-Pak war. Aditya Shastrihas written the film’s story with a screenplay from Storyhouse Films.
Jammwal along with co-producer Abbas Sayyed is collaborating with Reliance Entertainment and T-Series for ‘IB 71’ which will be directed by national award winning filmmaker Sankalp Reddy (‘The Ghazi Attack’, ‘Pitta Kathalu’).
Talking about the film and his production house, Vidyut Jammwal said in a statement, “Some of the most interesting episodes in Indian history have inspired ‘IB 71’. With this film, Action Hero Films pursues the endeavour to unravel a riveting story envisaged by gifted writers. Director Sankalp Reddy said, “IB 71 is about what goes on before a triumph and a very different kind of heroism is at play in its story.
