There was much speculation about who will star in James Gunn’s next movie ‘Superman: Legacy’. And now, after a long process of auditioning and screen testing, the lead actors are now confirmed.
Actor David Corenswet will be playing the role of Clark Kent or Superman. The role of Lois Lane will be played by Rachel Brosnahan. Corenswet replaces Henry Cavill, who had been playing the role of the popular superhero character since ‘Man Of Steel’.
The movie will be produced by Peter Safran, CEO and co-chairman of DC. The screenplay of the movie is written by Gunn himself. There were many speculations regarding the casting and the process went on for months and now fans are excited to know the names of the actors who will play Superman And Lois. Though the exit of Henry Cavill was a heartbreaking moment for fans, they hope for a new beginning with Superman: Legacy.
‘Superman: Legacy’ is one of the most anticipated films and is very much talked about among fans of superhero films. It is the first film of the new slate of the cinematic DCU that Gunn and Safran intend to create. It is, indeed, the beginning of a new era in DC. Rachel Brosnahan was nominated for the Emmy award for her performance on Netflix’s ‘House of Cards’. She is also known for The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, The Courier and more. Corenswet also starred in many acclaimed movies and shows like ‘Pearl’, ‘The Politician’, ‘We Own This City’. Corenswet will next be seen alongside Natalie Portman in the series ‘The Lady In The Lake’.
