The official trailer of ‘Leo’ is out now. Well, no, it is not Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Leo. This one comes from Adam Sandler. The movie is directed by Robert Marianetti, Robert Smigel and David Wachtenheim and it is produced by Sandler’s Happy Madison Company.
As we get to know about the movie from the trailer, it is about a lizard who is friends with a turtle in a school zoo and their lives are boring as hell. One day, the teacher says that the children will have to take one pet with each of them. Leo, the lizard, figures out a tremendous plan of escape. They decide to go with the students and then flee out of their bondage.
It is indeed a comedy movie, but there is no doubt that there will be moments deep enough to make adults think. In the trailer, Leo cries out loudly “No animal wants to be locked up.” On beholding the beautiful world outside, he comments, ‘I have wasted my life.’
The aging Leo wants to spend his last days happily, but with the students, who have gradually become his friends, he finds something better than the outside life.
Adam Sandler voices the character of Leo. There are other actors like Bill Burr, Cecily Strong, Jason Alexander, Rob Schneider, Jo Koy and Stephanie Hsu who voiced other important characters.
Leo will be premiering on Netflix on the 21st of November.
