Warner Bros is definitely flying high, and that too with some big deals in their bags, as they just shook hands with Tom Cruise for some massy action films. But, do they plan to close the gates for the big names there?
‘Naah,’ says Warner Bros.
A recent news is spreading like wildfire that Leonard DiCaprio will be a part of a Warner Bros Film that will be directed by Paul Thomas Anderson. The name or the log line of the film is still kept under the essence of mystery, but the project will definitely be exciting.
Sean Penn and Regina Hall will also join the lineup as fans will wait for more new names.
The production of the film will start late this year in California as Anderson is done with the final script. But the makers are definitely keeping the mystic mode on as no other names are being leaked.
Now, with films such as Boogie Nights and Licorice Pizza, Anderson definitely establishes himself as one of the most ‘beautiful’ directors, but making a commercial project is definitely not his cup of tea. And as it has the potential to be the highest costing film, $100M, there will definitely be some pressure for Anderson.
On the other hand, Leo, showing his magic in Killers Of The Flower Moon, will also have a tough time as though critics appreciated his performance, it was no financial hit.
But yes, the pair is ready to do its magic, and this time, the Boogie Nights incidents won’t repeat as Leo dropped out of the film to do something like ‘Titanic.’ There is still no news about the release window, but late 2025 can be a bare minimum.
