Lionsgate Play, the India-centric streaming arm of content giant STARZ, is betting big on Indian Original shows to spread its footprint in the Indian digital landscape. It had earlier announced a couple of original shows it is developing for its Indian subscribers, a remake of Lionsgate’s hit U.S. series ‘Casual’ and a college romance drama titled ‘U Special’. Now, Lionsgate Play has announced its next Indian Original, a coming-of-age drama titled, ‘Feels Like Home’.
The show is created by Sidhanta Mathur, and features an exciting ensemble cast of young, upcoming stars, Vishnu Kaushal, Prit Kamani, Anshuman Malhotra, and Mihir Ahuja. ‘Feels Like Home’ centres on the shenanigans of four 20-something boys, Lakshay (Prit Kamani), Sameer (Anshuman Malhotra), Avinash (Vishnu Kaushal) and Akhil (Mihir Ahuja), as they move out of the comfort of their homes, and move into a shared home away from home. As the boys learn to live on their own, facing myriad events, issues and concerns, they barely realise when they’ve transitioned into responsible men from the pampered boys they had started out as. It is a heartwarming and fascinating coming-of-age tale, told with wit and candidness.
Feels Like Home is directed by Sahir Raza, who’s earlier helmed well-received shows such as ZEE5’s ‘The Married Woman’ and Voot Select’s ‘Illegal’. Creator Sidhanta Mathur is well known for his powerful stories in hit shows such as ‘Little Things’, ‘What the Folks’ and ‘Adulting’. The stars of ‘Feels Like Home’ are equally popular. Vishnu Kaushal is a well-known content creator, with a massive fan following. Prit Kamani earned fame with his adorable lead turn in the Netflix film ‘Maska’. Anshuman Malhotra won accolades for his first film, Vishal Bhardwaj’s ‘Haider’. Mihir Ahuja was loved by viewers as the naive boy next door in the Netflix series, ‘Feels Like Ishq’.
