Lionsgate Play, the premium streaming service of STARZ, is all set to bring the globally appreciated true crime series, ‘Dr. Death’ for Indian viewers. Dr. Death premieres on Lionsgate Play on 20th August. The mini-series features acclaimed talent including Joshua Jackson, Grace Gummer, Christian Slater and Alec Baldwin in primary roles.
The bone-chilling series is based on the terrifying true story of Dr. Christopher Duntsch, a young, charismatic and brilliant doctor in the Texas medical community, who precipitated the death or maiming of scores of his patients. As his victims piled up, two fellow physicians realised that something was seriously wrong with the doctor and the treatment he meted out to his patients, and set out to stop him.
The series explores the twisted mind of Dr. Duntsch, the failures of the system designed to protect the most defenseless among us and the everyday heroes who went above and beyond the call of duty to bring him to justice.
Dr. Death has received rave reviews from reviewers across the world. RogerEbert.com calls it a “solid drama, with excellent performances”. Rotten Tomatoes says Dr. Death is a “horrifying tale, centred around Joshua Jackson’s unsettling performance”.
With such glowing reviews to its credit, Dr. Death seems to be a must-watch watch. It premieres on Lionsgate Play on 20th August.
