Loki Season 2: Why Miss Minutes Is More Dangerous Than We Thought?

The cute-looking evil, Miss Minutes, returned to Loki Season 2 in Episode 3, titled “1893”. And she is looking more dangerous than before.

The helmer of the third episode, Kasra Farahani, recently spoke to The Hollywood Reporter about the shocking transformation of Miss Minutes from a cartoonish and mysterious AI to a sinister entity.

“Fleshing Miss Minutes out in terms of humanizing her and seeing more of her human desires and aspirations was an idea that Eric Martin put on the wall pretty early,” Farahani said. “It was one of those ideas that made it all the way through, which doesn’t happen a lot of the time. So, to my knowledge, doing something rich with this character was pretty well embraced right away, and it’s all the more interesting because she’s a cartoon. People refer to reductive characters as cartoons in a pejorative way, and we’re trying to give Miss Minutes, a literal cartoon, these super awkward and complex emotional feelings,” the director added.

The mere idea of Miss Minutes having romantic feelings for Victor Timely seems freakish. We already know how highly intelligent and self-aware AIs can wreak havoc in the human world, thanks to Ultron in the second Avengers flick (2015). Miss Minutes’ immense love for Timely and her desire to have a human body already establishes her as “something much more” than a conventional artificial intelligence. In fact, she does not even need the assistance of Ravonna Renslayer or He Who Remains to control the entire TVA, considering the vast knowledge she possesses.

Miss Minutes also talked about knowing a dark secret of Renslayer in Episode 3. The former may use this scenario as an advantage to make Renslayer an integral part of her future evil schemes. She may even end up threatening the entire Multiverse at the end of the ongoing season. Who knows? The character is not a part of Marvel Comics. She was created especially for the Loki Disney+ series. Victor Timely and all other Kang variants are a part of the comic world. But Miss Minutes is not. However, the cartoon character is being used as an important tool to forge a connection between Timely and the TVA.

Tara Strong has voiced Miss Minutes in Loki Season 2. She is best known for her voice performances in projects like The Powerpuff Girls, Teen Titans, Teen Titans GO!, The Proud Family, and more. Stream all episodes on Disney+ Hotstar. Stay tuned for more updates.
