With various Kang variants slowly finding their place in the MCU, there is one variant of him that may make the lives of Loki and all of TVA’s personnel a living hell in Loki Season 2. Yup, you guessed it right! He is Victor Timely!
The very first MCU’s Kang variant, He Who Remains, appeared in Season 1. After that, we witnessed Jonathan Majors playing the real Kang the Conqueror in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. These two projects are just the beginning of Kang’s arc in the MCU.
He Who Remains warned both Loki and Sylvie about the consequences of killing him in the first season of Loki. He was the only one standing between other Kang variants and the Multiverse. Now that he’s gone, who’s going to save the Multiverse from other Kang variants?
Without He Who Remains, everything is in chaos at TVA. The latest episode from Season 2 showed the destruction of numerous timelines, thanks to a group of rogue TVA hunters. Despite their best efforts, Loki, Sylvie, and Mobius failed to stop that mass destruction. We can expect them to take Victor Timely’s help to bestow some balance to the overall Multiverse in the upcoming episodes.
But here’s the main question: Is Victor Timely trustworthy? Well, the answer is no!
Do you guys remember Quantumania’s post-credits scene? That scene shows Timely performing in front of a small crowd during the 1800s. He explains the significance of time and concludes his presentation by saying, “Time is everything. It shapes our lives, but perhaps, we can shape it!”
This scenario indicates that Timely will have his own evil intentions in Season 2. Fans may witness Loki, Mobius, and Timely trying to alter the natural flow of time in Season 2 to undo the colossal damage caused to the Multiverse. But here’s another fan theory that may flabbergast you all. Many fans believe that Victor Timely and He Who Remains are the same variant.
At this point, no one knows how Marvel will conclude Loki Season 2. But it is quite clear that Kang and his variants are going to change the Marvel Cinematic Universe forever. Stay tuned for more updates.
