‘LOL – Hasse Toh Phasse’ Trailer Out. Release Date Announced.

Amazon Prime Video streaming platform just released the trailer of their upcoming original show titled ‘LOL – Hasse To Phasse’. They have uploaded two separate posts. One post contains some amusing pictures of the contestants, with the title: “Who do you think will be the last one laughing?”

While the second post had mentioned the link to Amazon Prime Video India’s YouTube channel where we can watch the just-released trailer. The trailer starts off with the show’s hosts and eminent Bollywood actors Boman Irani and Arshad Warsi making a grand entrance.

Thereafter, the duo is seen delivering a welcome speech for the audience. The trailer later reveals more about the show’s premise, which says “In this unique show, 10 comedians are going to be locked down in this beautiful house. The last comedian standing will win this. 25 lakh rupees. And the task is simple. They have to make other people laugh but they can’t laugh themselves. You laugh you lose. Hasse Toh Phasse.”

Intermittently, the trailer shows clips of the contestants’ efforts to make their rivals laugh, while Boman and Arshad are seen laughing out loud probably from outside the house. Every person will be watched by the many cameras apparently installed inside the house.

Besides Boman and Arshad hosting, the show will feature Sunil Grover, Mallika Dua, Kusha Kapila, Gaurav Gera, Cyrus Broacha, Suresh Menon, Aakash Gupta, Aadar Malik, Aditi Mittal, and Ankita Shrivastav as the ten contestants – all vying for the cash prize.

Incidentally, Boman Irani and Arshad Warsi have previously acted together in films like ‘Munnabhai’ series, and ‘Jolly LLB’. So, it will be interesting to witness their camaraderie.

The rudimentary idea of the show is ostensibly reminiscent of another cult reality television show ‘Big Boss’, the Indian version of which is hosted by superstar Salman Khan.

However, the actual concept is derived from the TV show franchise called ‘LOL: Last one Laughing’, which was previously released in Australia and Mexico and now launching in India.

The original show ‘LOL: Last one Laughing’ had ten top comedians, who are put in a room for six hours, in a cut-throat battle of wits. Trying their best to make others laugh. They will be eliminated one-by-one until the last comedian with a straight face is left, who is declared the winner.

‘LOL – Hasse Toh Phasse’ is set to release in India on April 30, 2021, on the Amazon Prime Video streaming platform. So, like the trailer warns us: Brace yourself for this crazy, freaky, insane, notorious, wild, humorous madhouse.
